Troubleshooting

The server does not appear in my AI tool: Fully restart the app after editing the config. Most MCP clients do not hot reload servers, so a reload is not enough.
I get an authentication error (401): Check the API key in your OwlStat settings and copy and paste it rather than typing it. A stray space at either end is the usual cause.
It says the account was not found: The Instagram account has to be tracked in your OwlStat workspace first. Add it in OwlStat, then ask again.

Why not just use a free Instagram MCP from GitHub?

Most Instagram MCP servers are scrapers. The difference shows up quickly.
